A 3-day program to discover and meet artists, curators, galleries, institutions and collectors in the lovely Slovenian capital of Ljubljana.
Ljubljana, Slovenia's capital, is one of the (yet!) unsung heroes among Europe’s art cities. Our friends from RAVNIKAR GALLERY SPACE initiated the Ljubljana Art Weekend a few years ago, to make contemporary art more accessible and introduce the art scene in Ljubljana in its “natural environment”. toaa is organizing our second trip to Ljubljana Art Weekend exclusively for our community! Join us and get to know the galleries, artists and a bunch of other cool art lovers and collectors from around the world, explore new art and the fabulous food & party city of Ljubljana!

Friday, 24 May 2024
Welcome lunch and vernissage hopping
We start our weekend at 12pm with a lunch and then stroll through walkable Ljubljana to join the many gallery openings happening that day and evening. We will end the day fine-dining and cocktail slurping with Ljubljana's art world makers.
Saturday, 25 May 2024
Collector's tour and Ulay Foundation
Guided by the Art Weekend Curators, we will discover art places off the beaten track, from outdoor studios to street art schools. We will also get to know the projects and people behind Ulay Foundation, Marina Abramovic's late collaborator and partner, before ending the day with a traditional Slovenian dinner and a party at a legendary artist squatting house.

Brunch and artist studio visits
Our last day is dedicated to Ljubljana's best brunch place and visiting Ljubljana based artists from the RAVNIKAR GALLERY SPACE roaster in their studios. We will end the day visiting a private collection of Slovenian and international art. Official program ends at 6pm.

Accomodation
We have pre-booked double rooms at Viva Rooms in the heart of Ljubljana. It's also possible to organise your own accomodation.
Getting there & away
Individual and self-organized. From Zurich, we recommend:

Swiss flight on Friday morning and return on Monday morning

Night train on Thursday evening and return on Sunday evening

Car through Italy, visiting Ticino, Lake Garda, Verona, Venice Biennale or Trieste along the way

Costs
CHF 600 per toaa member, includes 2 nights at Viva Rooms, lunch, dinners, brunch, all tours, parties and visits. Does not include travel costs, remaining meals and any artworks you want to purchase 🙂
If you're not yet a toaa member, you are welcome to join our trip for CHF 700 which will include a 1-year toaa membership.
