"Lucky to the Core(s)" is a sculpture that Adam Cruces made part of his show "Eavesdropping" at Blue Velvet Projects. In both the show and in "Lucky to the core(s)", Cruces gives us a perspective of a dry future, with humour and reality colliding into something like hope.
About the Artist
Adam Cruces (b. 1985) is interested in how we interact with the landscape, while incorporating a wide variety of material approaches - painting, sculpture, and video. These elements often culminate in installations that collapse notions of obligation and leisure, nature and domestication, the familiar and the foreign. Cruces currently lives and works in Zurich, Switzerland.
