"The street is big and sad like a boulevard" was part of Marie Matusz solo exhibition "Prequel" at Blue Velvet Projects in 2023. Marie executes her concepts through minimal sculptural installations, sound works, writings, and films, and in this case mixed media.
About the Artist
Marie Matusz (b. 1994) is a young Swiss artist who lives and works in Basel and Berlin. Marie's work is conceptual, her practice is the result of a critical engagement with forms and their inherent meanings, evolved through research into a variety of philosophical, sociological, and linguistic theories. In 2021, Marie won the prestigious Swiss Art Awards and had numerous solo shows already, both in Switzerland and international.
